Re - Introduce Yourself....

Many of us have met in various forums and places but let's take a moment to re-introduce ourselves.

Hi! I am Susan Amick Plonski and my daughter, Tori has been cheering at Charlotte Allstars for 5 years. I am a member of the Parent Action Committee and manage rental properties in my non-cheer life. Tori also plays classic soccer so we are kept quite busy balancing both sports. I have two older "step" children but someone forgot to tell me I didn't actually give birth to them! One is a Senior at NCSU and the other a Freshman. Neither are involved in cheer but both love to support their sister at competitions. My husband, Chris is an IT guy with a local television station here in Charlotte. The larger nationals we attend to compete are Spirit of Hope (Charlotte) and CANAM (Myrtle Beach) however we always come to watch Cheersport and Worlds. I hope to meet more of you this season!

Hi Susan....loved the part of your post where you mentioned "non cheer" life. Is there such a thing?
I'm Patty D from NJ. My daughter, Ashley cheers for Comet All Stars. We cheered for Pop Warner for years and then tried an all star half year team 5 yrs ago and never looked back. In my "non cheer" life I was a 911 operator for 18 yrs and am now relaxing at home (ha ha). We will be competing at Spirit of Hope, Cheersport and (hopefully) Worlds this year. Hope to see you there!

Hi! I am Joanie Cowen-Foley, insane single mother of 4. My oldest daughter is no longer cheering, but is attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising here in California. I have twin 16 year old sons one plays golf and the other plays competitive and high school soccer. And last but certainly not least my youngest daughter is 8 and a mini at California All stars. It is our 3rd year at Cali and her 5th cheering. I home school my youngest due to some issues. So I work from home doing a variety of different things. We are going to Dallas this year, so I am looking forward to meeting everyone who is a name but not a face here.

I'm Kiki, and my 6-year-old daughter Keira is on Mini 1 at Ultimate Athletics. This is our second season at UA. Prior to that, she cheered for one season on our local rec team, which I also coached. In my "non-cheer" life, I am an HR Generalist/Payroll Specialist, and actually just interviewed for a job that will allow me a lot more flexibility in my hours so that I can spend 8 hours a week at UA.
